The organization has been registered under Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act 1976 and also registered under U/S 80 G (5) & U/S 12 AA of Income Tax Act 1961. SWADHAR Greh is a Government of India sponsored Women Welfare
Scheme supported by the Ministry of Women and Child Development. It is
a rehabilitation centre for women who are victims of domestic violence,
family atrocities, trafficking, rape, negligence, and run away girls. The scheme,
in essence, commits to provide shelter, food, clothing, health care, counseling,
vocational training for the distressed girls and women. It also works towards
ensuring opportunities for learning different skills to live life with dignity.
In Langudi village of Bhadrakh district, the VijayaBinapani Helen Keller
Special School is run under the scheme on of DeenDayal Rehabilitation
Scheme of Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of
India since 2005. Currently there are 28 number of visually impaired children
and 57 hearing impaired children studying between classes 1 to class 10.
Women who have undergone stressful life situation need to divert
their minds from the past events and get engaged in constructive activities.
Therefore, the inmates are encouraged to sing devotional songs in the evening
and morning, watching TV especially the programmes on religious practice,
yoga etc. They are also allowed to go whenever they wish to meet their near
and dear ones and they are taken on trips to visit temples at Bhubaneswar
and other religious places.
